Malaysia's national electric car, the Perodua QV-E, has officially debuted with a battery rental scheme, priced at around Rp 300 million.
In terms of dimensions, the L x W x H of the QV-E are 4,170 mm x 1,800 mm x 1,502 mm. For a rough comparison, this is still smaller than the Chery E5, which has a length of 4,424 mm, a width of 1,830 mm, and a height of 1,588 mm.
This electric car is equipped with an LFP or Lithium Iron Phosphate battery with a capacity of 52.5 kWh, claimed to offer a maximum range of 445 km (NEDC) on a single charge.
Equipped with a front-wheel drive electric motor, the car can produce 150 kW (201.1 hp) of power and 285 Nm of peak torque.
The price of the Perodua QV-E is RM 80,000 or about IDR 321.7 million if converted to the rupiah exchange rate. Meanwhile, the battery rental fee is around RM 275 (IDR 1.1 million) per month.
