KatadataOTO – Daihatsu successfully recorded retail sales (dealer to consumer) of 168,263 units throughout 2024, maintaining the second national rank for 16 years.

There are three main models that are contributors to Daihatsu's sales in Indonesia, primarily the LCGC (Low Cost Green Car) Sigra with total sales of 54,366 units.

“Sigra has been the market leader for approximately four consecutive years,” said Sri Agung Handayani, Marketing Director and Corporate Communications of PT ADM (Astra Daihatsu Motor) in South Jakarta, Thursday (16/1).

Following that are the Gran Max Pickup commercial vehicle with 41,703 units and the Terios with 19,873 units. Then, the LCGC hatchback Ayla contributed sales of 18,588 units.

The Gran Max Mini Bus also leads in its segment, contributing retail sales of 15,040 units. After that, the MPV (Multi Purpose Vehicle) Xenia was delivered to consumers with 11,014 units.

Finally, about seven thousand other sales are a combination of three other Daihatsu models, namely Rocky, Luxio, and Sirion.

Amid the challenges of the automotive industry in 2024, car sales were boosted through several purchasing conveniences offered by Daihatsu. Such as flexible credit, after-sales service and vehicle maintenance, to attractive promos.

“Our market share is approximately 19 percent. And several models have become market leaders (in their class),” Agung affirmed.
