Toyota bZ7 Introduced, BYD Challenger Priced Around Rp 300 Million

To compete with Chinese manufacturers, price is an important factor. Reportedly, the bZ7 will be sold for around 170,000 yuan, or equivalent to IDR 391.9 million.

For comparison, the BYD Qin L EV is sold starting from 119,800 yuan (IDR 276.2 million). Meanwhile, the Seal sedan starts from 179,800 yuan, around IDR 414.5 million.

It seems the Toyota bZ7 will still be focused on the Chinese market, becoming an asset to compete with a range of domestic Chinese manufacturers.

On the same occasion, Toyota also presented a number of new models in the bZ series, including the bZ4X and bZ3X SUVs (Sport Utility Vehicles).

China is Toyota's main choice of country to directly introduce more than one electric vehicle, considering the country is quite advanced in the era of electrification and electric cars are beginning to dominate new car sales.
