AHY Ensures ODOL Truck Enforcement Begins in 2027, Not Postponed

It should be noted that the zero ODOL plan has been initiated since 2009. The initial target was set for 2017, then pushed back to 2019 and 2023.

Before the government finally decided the zero ODOL policy will be effective in early 2027.

Forms a Small Team

Recently, the Ministry of Transportation (Kemenhub) will soon form a small team to accelerate the handling of ODOL trucks.

This decision was made after they held a Coordination Meeting on the Drafting of a Ministerial Decree.

It discussed the Team for the Acceleration of Handling Overloading and Over-Dimension Violations in Jakarta last Monday (06/10).

"This small team will also prepare a mechanism for periodic evaluation of the effectiveness of policies and the handling of over-dimension and over-loading vehicles in all regions," said Aan Suhanan, Director General of Land Transportation, on the official Kemenhub website on a different occasion.

Aan revealed that the formation of the team is to formulate steps to accelerate the revision of Law Number 22 of 2009.

The law discusses Traffic and Road Transportation, especially on the aspects of law enforcement and driver protection.
