KatadataOTO – The progressive vehicle tax rate in the Jakarta area has officially increased. The new policy has been in effect since last Sunday (5/1).
The decision above is stated in the DKI Jakarta Provincial Regulation (Perda) Number 1 of 2024 concerning Regional Taxes and Regional Levies.
"Motor vehicle ownership is based on the same name, national identification number, and/or address," reads Article 7 paragraph (4).
For those who have just sold a car or motorcycle, it is recommended to immediately block the STNK (Vehicle Registration Certificate).
This is important to do to avoid being affected by the progressive tax rate increase for vehicles this month. The process is also quite easy.
You just need to prepare several documents as requirements. For example, KTP (ID Card), KK (Family Card), and BPKB (Vehicle Ownership Book).
Then you can go to the nearest Samsat office from your home, such as the one in Daan Mogot, West Jakarta, to block the vehicle's STNK. Here is a summary.
As a reminder, here are the latest progressive vehicle tax rates in Jakarta, summarized by KatadataOTO.
