KatadataOTO – The progressive vehicle tax rate in the Jakarta area has officially increased. The new policy has been in effect since last Sunday (5/1).

The decision above is stated in the DKI Jakarta Provincial Regulation (Perda) Number 1 of 2024 concerning Regional Taxes and Regional Levies.

"Motor vehicle ownership is based on the same name, national identification number, and/or address," reads Article 7 paragraph (4).

For those who have just sold a car or motorcycle, it is recommended to immediately block the STNK (Vehicle Registration Certificate).
