So that the process of eradicating ODOL trucks in Indonesia, which is currently being promoted, can run perfectly.

“This is very dilemmatic (ODOL trucks), the real key is that the price of logistics services must be regulated by the government,” said Jusri Pulubuhu, Founder of Jakarta Defensive Driving Consulting (JDDC), as previously reported by KatadataOTO.

Jusri stated that the price of goods delivery services cannot be left entirely to logistics entrepreneurs.

This is because it will lead to a price war among logistics entrepreneurs. If this happens, they will potentially neglect vehicle safety matters.

He gave an example: company A follows all safety parameters for all logistics truck components. They then offer a service fee of Rp 1 million for one delivery.

Then, company B lowers their service fee to Rp 500 thousand because they do not follow or comply with the existing regulations.

With these two price differences, the public will tend to choose the cheaper company.
