Banten Takes a Similar Step

On the other hand, the Banten Provincial Government has also extended the motor vehicle tax amnesty program in its region.

This decision was announced directly by Andra Soni, Governor of Banten, while inspecting services at Samsat Ciputat, South Tangerang.

“After conducting a review, seeing the difficult economic conditions and the public's enthusiasm to be tax-compliant, today we decided to extend it,” said Andra, as quoted by Antara.

According to Andra, the program extension is stated in the Banten Governor's Decree Number 286 of 2025.

It explains that with the elimination of fines and principal motor vehicle taxes for years before 2025, the public only needs to pay the current year's obligations.

As a reminder, Banten's motor vehicle tax amnesty is valid until October 31, 2025.
