For example, paying the Motor Vehicle Tax (PKB). This is an obligation for every citizen.

Even so, there are a number of regions that provide relaxation, such as holding a motor vehicle tax amnesty program.

This decision was made to lighten the burden on motorcycle and car owners. It also stimulates the public to contribute to regional development.

According to KatadataOTO's monitoring on Tuesday (13/01), there are three regions holding a vehicle tax amnesty. Here is the summary.

1. Aceh

The Aceh Provincial Government is again providing relaxation for drivers this month or in early 2026.

Quoting the official Samsat Meulaboh website, the vehicle tax amnesty program is stipulated in Aceh Governor Regulation Number 25 of 2025.

This relaxation can be utilized by drivers starting January 2. It will then end on April 20, 2026.

The public is urged to take advantage of this leniency so they can fulfill their delayed obligations.

This provides relief for motorcycle or car owners affected by the flash floods that occurred some time ago in parts of Aceh.

“Tax compliance will have a direct impact on the improvement and equitable distribution of development,” they wrote.

To take advantage of this program, people can visit the nearest Samsat office to pay their taxes.

2. Bali

Second, the Bali Provincial Government is holding a vehicle tax amnesty in January 2026. This was announced on the official Instagram account @bapendaprobbali.
