"At Mayestik Market, upon entering the parking area, there is an immediate announcement for vehicles with license plates that have not undergone an emission test," she said.

The DKI Jakarta DLH also intends to expand the parking locations for implementing social sanctions like the one at Mayestik Market.

This way, it can provide a deterrent effect to motorcycle and car users in the Capital City.

"It has an effect on the public, it's embarrassing to have it read out," Erni emphasized.

Besides social sanctions, another policy implemented is giving traffic tickets. This has even been carried out before.

"The graph immediately soared. This means the level of public compliance was very high, but it turned out the implementation only lasted for one day," she said.

Then, other policies were also implemented. Such as including factors related to emission tests in the application of motor vehicle tax (PKB) rates.

However, this particular policy cannot be implemented yet, because the DKI Jakarta Government is still conducting a detailed study.
