Therefore, the Traffic Police of Polda Metro Jaya took preventive actions. Such as launching the Jaya Safety Operation 2026.

The Jaya Safety Operation 2026 starts today, Monday (02/02). It will end on Sunday (15/02).

Polda Metro Jaya will apply several approaches. Such as preemptive (advisory), preventive (prevention), and humane law enforcement.

"This activity aims to create traffic conditions that are safe, orderly, and smooth, especially within the jurisdiction of Polda Metro Jaya," they wrote on the official website of the National Police Traffic Corps.

Furthermore, it is mentioned that there are nine types of traffic violations that are the focus of the police in the Jakarta area.

Take, for example, drivers who frequently go against the flow. This can endanger other road users.

Then drivers of cars or motorcycles who are underage and do not have a Driving License (SIM).

Also, two-wheeled and four-wheeled vehicles exceeding speed limits, which can cause accidents.

Finally, members of the public who use a mobile phone or smart device while riding a motorcycle or driving a car.

"Through the Jaya Safety Operation 2026, the public is urged to be more disciplined and treat safety as a shared need, not merely an obligation," they added.

According to Polda Metro Jaya, compliance with traffic regulations is expected to reduce the risk of frequent accidents.

Additionally, it aims to create a culture of safe traffic, so there are no longer any fatalities caused by accidents.
