The Central Java Bapenda (Regional Revenue Agency) confirmed that the PKB rate, which was previously 1.5 percent (Regional Regulation Number 2 of 2011), has been reduced to 1.05 percent in accordance with Regional Regulation Number 12 of 2023.
“With the PKB and BBNKB surcharges, your contribution becomes important for regional progress,” wrote the official statement from Bapenda Jateng on its official social media page, @bapenda_jateng
Additionally, during the period of January 5 to March 31, 2025, there will be a discount on the principal PKB of 13.94 percent and on BBNKB of 24.70 percent. The tax can be paid up to 30 days before the due date.
Next is East Java. The local Bapenda has confirmed that in the East Java region, there will be no increase in PKB and BBNKB charges starting January 5, 2025.
“The East Java Provincial Government ensures there will be no increase in PKB and BBNKB in 2025 despite the existence of PKB and BBNKB surcharges for regencies/cities. Following the Acting Governor's directive, the charges will remain the same as the previous year,” reads the statement from @bapendajatim.
Next is Yogyakarta. According to a statement from the official @samsatjogjakarta account, there will be no increase in motor vehicle tax effective January 5, 2025.
Referring to Regional Regulation Number 11 of 2023, the PKB rate of 0.9 percent plus the surcharge (66 percent of the PKB) is equivalent to 1.496 percent. Previously, under Regional Regulation Number 3 of 2011, the rate was 1.5 percent.
“There is no increase in motor vehicle tax. This applies in the Special Region of Yogyakarta Province,” the official statement reads.
Just like other regions, the Bali Provincial Government ensures that there will be no tax increase even though the PKB and BBNKB surcharges are listed on the SSPD (Regional Tax Payment Form).
“It is confirmed that there will be no increase in the PKB (Motor Vehicle Tax),” wrote the official Bapenda Bali account.
The implementation of the PKB and BBNKB surcharges refers to Law Number 1 of 2022 concerning HKPD. However, parallel to this, there is no increase in the PKB and BBNKB charges in South Sumatra.
This refers to South Sumatra Regional Regulation Number 3 of 2023 and the South Sumatra Governor's Decree/Number 5/KPTS/BAPENDA/2025.
