KatadataOTO – The Yamaha Aerox Alpha is the main weapon for YIMM (Yamaha Indonesia Motor Manufacturing) to attract young people. Especially for consumers in the Central Java region.

“In terms of percentage (sales contribution), the Yamaha Aerox Alpha CyberCity is a little over 20 percent,” said Bill Prasetyo Gunawan, Chief of DDS III Central Java-DIY PT YIMM (Yamaha Indonesia Motor Manufacturing) in Yogyakarta some time ago.

Thus, many consumers of the tuning fork-branded manufacturer are interested in owning one of the automatic scooters from the Maxi family.
The KatadataOTO team also had the opportunity to test ride the Yamaha Aerox Alpha CyberCity, with a route from Malioboro, Yogyakarta to Gunung Kidul.
When first getting on the Yamaha Aerox Alpha CyberCity, we felt a sporty impression. This is thanks to its relatively compact dimensions.
It has a length of 1,980 mm, a width of 710 mm, and a height of 1,170 mm. Furthermore, the ground clearance is 145 mm.
Meanwhile, the Aerox Alpha's seat height is 790 mm. This made us quite confident riding it on the highway.
Especially since the rider's height is 175 cm. So, the feet can touch the ground perfectly.
Meanwhile, its weight of only 127 kg makes the Yamaha Aerox Alpha CyberCity very agile when ridden.
Especially for cutting through the traffic on Malioboro Street. It can easily overtake in the middle of queuing vehicles.
