We feel the handling character of this Yamaha automatic scooter has become better. This is because they made adjustments to the front suspension.
For instance, the position of the lower triple clamp was moved slightly forward. Then, the chassis components were updated to be more rigid yet still flexible.
This was proven when the group traveled along the road towards Gunung Kidul. We were presented with downhill, uphill, and cornering terrain.
Everything could be passed without significant effort. Entering and exiting corners was easily handled by the KatadataOTO team.
Additionally, the Yamaha Aerox Alpha is now equipped with disc brakes on both the front and rear. This adds a sense of security for the rider when braking.
For your information, the Yamaha Aerox Alpha CyberCity carries a 155 cc, liquid-cooled, SOHC, VVA Blucore engine.
It is said to have a maximum power of 15.1 hp at 8,000 rpm. Then, the peak torque is 14.2 Nm at 8,000 rpm.
However, it is not yet equipped with the YECVT (Yamaha Electric Continuously Variable Transmission) feature like the Turbo type.
Even so, the Yamaha Aerox Alpha CyberCity still feels very powerful, especially when accelerating on a straight track.
In every engine revolution, the motor's power is consistently delivered. This allowed us to push it up to a speed of 115 km per hour.
Then, when faced with uphill terrain, the KatadataOTO team's Aerox Alpha CyberCity did not feel any difficulty. The motorcycle continued to move forward quite easily.
