KatadataOTO – PT Jetour Motor Indonesia invited dozens of journalists in the country to experience the performance and advantages of one of its flagship SUVs. The Jetour Dashing became our (KatadataOTO) companion for 2 days from Jakarta to Bandung (25-26/02).

Since being officially marketed in Indonesia in November 2024, the Jetour Dashing is claimed to have received more attention from the public. Sales of the 5-seater SUV dominated by 60 percent compared to the X70 Plus.

Entering the country in the B-Segment SUV class, the Dashing challenges market leaders such as the Hyundai Creta and Honda HR-V. The car is equipped with various advantages over its competitors.

As one of the media crews participating in the Jetour Dashing Media Test Drive event, KatadataOTO encountered some interesting road conditions.

Coming as a conventional gasoline-engine car, the Jetour Dashing has a futuristic appearance. Its status as a vehicle from China with an unfamiliar name makes people at first glance think it is an electric car.

This is evident from the sharp lines running from the front to the rear. Without the lights on, the EV characteristics are very prominent.

One of the advantages of the Jetour Dashing is its dimensions, which are the largest in its class. Even when behind the Dashing on the toll road, the silhouette of the vehicle's C-pillar looks like wide and sexy hips.

The use of 18-inch (Journey) and 19-inch (Inspira) diameter wheels is one of this car's advantages over its competitors.

The variety of colors is also claimed to have received a positive reception from the public.
