KatadataOTO – Yamaha Gear Ultima 125 Hybrid has become one of the newest champions from the tuning fork-logo manufacturer in Indonesia. The entry-level scooter has undergone quite significant development.

Although it falls into the affordable scooter category, the updates provided emphasize a premium impression on the vehicle.

KatadataOTO had the opportunity to test the Yamaha Gear Ultima 125 Hybrid on the island of Bali. The route itself was quite diverse, ranging from dense urban areas to highlands and winding roads.

An interesting gimmick was also included to showcase the unit's advantages, allowing participants to utilize all the features offered.

Design

In terms of form, the Yamaha Gear Ultima 125 Hybrid has undergone a complete overhaul. The bike's design language is now more futuristic.

The use of sharp angles gives it a modern impression. Additionally, the main headlight already uses LED technology.

The placement of the turn signals, which still use regular bulbs, is quite unique. Their position is slightly lower and appears to blend in with the side body.

Looking at the side is also no less interesting, because the textured body (black color) is made sharper and rises upwards.

KatadataOTO got the top variant, the Hybrid S in silver. For this version, the seat is wrapped in a contrasting Brown color, adding to the premium impression.

Then at the rear, the use of a handle that extends backward is also visible, giving more function to the component.

The color options for the Hybrid S variant are Dark Grey and Silver. Meanwhile, the lower variants are more varied, such as Dull Blue, Sand, Black, and Red.

Riders of the highest type will be spoiled with a digital speedometer feature. In addition, there is a connectivity feature as one of its advantages.

Then there is also a power socket, so owners don't have to worry about losing power during the journey.
