KatadataOTO – Car sales in Indonesia on a wholesale basis in October 2025 showed improvement again. Based on Gaikindo data, vehicle shipments from factories to dealers reached 74,019 units.

That figure grew compared to the previous month, which was only 62,077 units. Thanks to this achievement, total wholesales from January to October 2025 reached 635,844 units.

Interestingly, in October 2025, a historic record was set because the best-selling car was no longer held by a Japanese manufacturer. The BYD Atto 1 succeeded in becoming the model with the most shipments to dealers, totaling 9,396 units.

That figure far surpasses the Toyota Avanza in second place with a shipment total of 3,087 units. This is despite that number already being an improvement over the previous month's 2,804 units.

Meanwhile, in third place is the Toyota Calya after shipping 3,057 units to dealers. This number grew from the previous month's total of only 2,523 units.

Fourth position is occupied by the Toyota Kijang Innova, with a wholesale record of 2,748 units. This figure saw a slight increase, as the car had previously only managed to ship 2,726 units.

Then, the Honda Brio closes out the top five after achieving sales of 2,175 units. This number is a slight increase from the previous 2,104 units.

Meanwhile, the Toyota Kijang Innova Reborn had to settle for sixth place as its shipments were only 2,165 units. In the previous month, however, this model was the best-seller with 3,407 units shipped to dealers.

Next, the seventh position for largest wholesales is held by the Toyota Rush after shipping 2,014 units. That record is lower than the previous one, which reached 2,273 units.

The Mitsubishi Xpander successfully entered the top 10 after recording 1,926 units in sales. Its ranking rose compared to September, when it was only in 15th place with 895 units shipped.

However, the Mitsubishi Destinator experienced some pressure after only 1,772 units were shipped. That number is a slight correction, as in September 2025 this car had 2,042 units shipped.

The top 10 best-selling cars is closed by the Daihatsu Sigra after posting a shipment figure of 1,689 units. This figure is a slight decrease compared to last month's 1,738 units.
