500 Chery Tiggo 8 CSH Delivered to Customers, Production Ramped Up

KatadataOTO – At least 500 units of the Chery Tiggo 8 CSH have been delivered to customers. The delivery process is expected to be continuously accelerated so that customers do not have to wait too long to receive their units.

Moreover, the number of vehicle orders is considered quite large and is expected to continue to increase in the second semester.

“Currently, there are 500 units of the Chery Tiggo 8 CSH that we have delivered to customers. Meanwhile, the orders themselves have reached 2,000,” said Budi Darmawan, Sales Director of PT Chery Sales Indonesia (19/06).

If everything goes smoothly, it is expected that in about 2 months from now, all Chery Tiggo 8 CSH orders will be completed.

“Therefore, we are continuously pushing the vehicle production process so that customers do not wait too long,” he added.

Despite receiving a positive response from the public, he has not changed the sales target for the Chery Tiggo 8 CSH.

“The sales target remains the same, which is 1,000 units per month,” he added.

It was previously reported that 2,000 units of the Chery Tiggo 8 CSH have been ordered. Of that number, half are from consumers outside the Jabodetabek area (Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang, Bekasi).

“The Tiggo 8 CSH's contribution is almost 50 percent from outside Jabodetabek. Previously, EVs (Electric Vehicles) were concentrated in Jabodetabek,” explained Budi.

This is because in some areas, the infrastructure has not been evenly developed. SPKLU (Public Electric Vehicle Charging Stations) are considered still limited.

It was previously reported that the Chery Tiggo 8 CSH has officially launched in Indonesia. This car enters the 7-seater SUV segment, equipped with a 1,500 cc DHE turbo engine.

The powertrain is capable of producing 342 hp with a peak torque of 525 Nm. Additionally, the car is fitted with an 18.3 kWh battery, sufficient for driving up to 90 km.

From the exterior, the Chery Tiggo 8 CSH features a rather bold design. The grille is silver-colored, matching the accents on the roof rails and window frames.

In the cabin, Chery has given it a modern feel by moving many feature control buttons to the head unit. The center console is quite large with a storage compartment underneath.

Currently, the Chery Tiggo 8 CSH is priced at Rp 499 million.
