KatadataOTO – A father from Manado remains loyal to his Daihatsu Terios as his faithful companion for daily journeys.

He is Bambang, the owner of a 2009 Daihatsu Terios. He has been using the LSUV (Low Sport Utility Vehicle) to this day.

Since it was purchased in 2009, the vehicle has always accompanied him. His loyalty to the car received appreciation from PT Astra Daihatsu Motor (ADM).

The appreciation ceremony was held to coincide with the Daihatsu Kumpul Sahabat event in Bitung, North Sulawesi (13/12).

“The spirit of ‘Happy From The Start’ reflects the feeling that grows from the first time owning a Daihatsu vehicle. It then continues to this day,” said Budi Mahendra, Domestic Marketing Division Head of ADM in Bitung.

According to him, every story and experience of a Daihatsu Friend is very meaningful to the Japanese brand. The appreciation program was created for loyal owners of cars bearing the letter D emblem.

It was said that Bambang purchased the unit in 2009 as a birthday gift for his wife. Therefore, the vehicle has historical value.

Then, the black Daihatsu Terios was often used for various activities. From daily trips, and vacations, to transporting heavy luggage.

“I chose the Terios because it's powerful, has a comfortable cabin, and a spacious trunk. I also like it because the Terios's body is sturdy and masculine,” said Bambang.

He further stated that the vehicle he uses is strong enough to tackle various road terrains. As a result, it became the answer to his family's needs.

Not stopping at the Terios, Bambang also purchased several other Daihatsu models.

“Because the first experience was satisfying, I decided to choose Daihatsu again. In 2012 I bought a Xenia and in 2015 added a Sirion,” explained Bambang.

The Daihatsu Terios itself is an SUV with tough capabilities. One of its attractions in the region is its rear-wheel drive.

Daihatsu's sales in the Bitung area are quite impressive. Daihatsu's market share is in second place, reaching around 29 percent.

Meanwhile, overall, the market share of the Daihatsu Terios in Bitung is 11 percent. As an SUV, the Terios can be relied upon for every journey.

Even the latest generation of the Daihatsu Terios still relies on rear-wheel drive. As a result, it has become a favorite among the people of North Sulawesi in general.
