KatadataOTO – The use of electric cars in Indonesia is on the rise. This has prompted various companies to introduce products specifically for EVs (Electric Vehicles).

As Accelera is doing. They are introducing a new tire at IIMS (Indonesia International Motor Show) 2025.

To cater to electric car owners, they are introducing the Accelera E-Silent. It is claimed to offer various advantages.

“This tire was specifically created for EV users. It is equipped with special foam to dampen noise,” said Sandya Gilang Samudra, Research and Development at PT Elangperdana Tyre Industry, the manufacturer of Accelera, at IIMS 2025 on Saturday (15/02).

Sandya revealed that the new product is made from special materials, making it lightweight and pressure-resistant.

It can also withstand high temperatures when used on the highway, thus meeting a variety of consumer needs.

“When we tested it in the lab, the Accelera E-Silent showed a noise reduction of about five decibels. However, on the road, it's only two to three decibels,” he continued.

He also explained that the new Accelera tire has minimal rolling resistance, which is said to have many positive effects.

“The effect is that the vehicle's power consumption becomes more efficient. So it's suitable for electric car owners,” Sandya stated.

He also said that the Accelera E-Silent tire is available in 80 sizes, which will increase to 130 in the future.

It can be used on various electric cars, from the Wuling Air ev to the Hyundai Ioniq 5 and Ioniq 6.

Also Introducing the Accelera Radial G/T

On the other hand, the tire manufacturer also introduced the Accelera Radial G/T, which is specifically designed for classic cars.

Unfortunately, these two new Accelera tires are not yet for sale to IIMS 2025 visitors. They are merely being introduced to automotive enthusiasts.
