Aion Hyptec HT Gullwing Will Be Produced in Indonesia This Year

KatadataOTO – Aion Indonesia seems set to step on the gas after its factory in Dawuan, Cikampek, West Java, begins operations in the near future. More than just one model will be produced there.

However, the plan is for several electric cars to be assembled at this facility. Such as the Aion Hyptec HT Gullwing or the ultra type.

“In the second semester (2025), the Aion Hyptec HT Gullwing, whose delivery was never promised, will be produced,” said Andry Ciu, CEO of Aion Indonesia in Jakarta, on Friday (21/03).

Furthermore, Andry Ciu confirmed that their EV (Electric Vehicle) will pursue a TKDN (Local Content Level) figure of 40 percent.

This is to qualify for the electric car incentive program provided by President Prabowo Subianto and his administration.

“For the Aion Hyptec HT Gullwing CKD (Completely Knock Down), it must have 40 percent (TKDN),” Andry continued.

Even though it will be locally assembled, the price of this Aion electric car will remain the same as before, with no price reduction.

“It won't go down, it's all already being sold at the CKD price,” he asserted.

For your information, the Aion Hyptec HT Gullwing is a large electric SUV (Sport Utility Vehicle) equipped with an 83.3 kWh capacity battery. It is paired with an electric motor producing 335 hp and a peak torque of 430 Nm.

It is also equipped with Magazine Battery technology. This power storage unit is equipped with the latest thermal management system to maintain efficiency and ensure safety while driving.

Thanks to the aforementioned battery, this electric four-wheeled vehicle can achieve a range of up to 620 km on a single charge.

On the other hand, various modern features are also embedded in this EV. Such as ergonomic first-class seats, which are claimed to pamper both the driver and passengers on the road.

Then there is also a Dolby Atmos audio system with 22 speakers, creating an immersive audio experience and providing premium sound quality inside the cabin.

To add a touch of luxury, the Chinese manufacturer also provides a 32-color Ambient Light customization option.

As a reminder, the price of the Aion Hyptec HT Gullwing or ultra is around Rp 843.5 million. This amount is already OTR (On The Road) for Jakarta.
