KatadataOTO – Aion UT is finally officially on the market for consumers in the country. The electric car is being sold at the Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) 2025.

The presence of this Electric Vehicle (EV) at GIIAS 2025 provides an additional option for people who want to buy a four-wheeled electric vehicle.

"Today we are reintroducing our newest product which has advantages in its class. New style is coming, a product for young people and young families, Aion UT," said Andry Ciu, CEO of GAC Indonesia at ICE BSD, Tangerang, Tuesday (23/07).

Andry also hopes the Aion UT electric car will receive a positive response from consumers in the country.

In terms of appearance, the Aion UT electric car is similar to the BYD Dolphin. However, it has smaller headlights.

It is also equipped with unique Daytime Running Lights (DRL), strengthening the Aion UT's identity.

The fascia of this electric car appears minimalist, with an emblem bearing the name Aion in the front center area.

However, there is a sporty feel it aims to show through the use of 17-inch dual-tone wheels.

Consumers can also choose unique two-tone color combinations such as Velvet Red/White and Emerald Green/White on the highest trim, the Premium.

Moving to the Aion UT's interior, the dashboard and center console are clean without the presence of physical buttons. Like most EVs, vehicle feature controls are delegated to the head unit.

The head unit on the Aion UT measures 14.6 inches. Inside, there are various settings ranging from the AC to the windows.

Speaking of the powertrain, the Aion UT is available with two battery options, namely a 44.1 kWh Lithium Ferro Phosphate (LFP) (Standard type) and a 60 kWh (Premium variant).

Each offers a range of up to 400 km and 500 km on a single charge.

It also has an electric motor with 134 hp or 201 hp and a peak torque of 145 Nm and 210 Nm.

The Aion UT is claimed to be able to accelerate from 0-100 km per hour in just 8.3 seconds.

If interested, the pre-booking price for the Aion UT at GIIAS 2025 starts from Rp 330 million for the standard and premium variants.

Andry stated that the final price of the Aion UT for consumers in Indonesia will be announced at a later date.
