KatadataOTO – Aion's factory in Cikampek, West Java, is set to begin operations in early March 2025. They will immediately start producing electric cars.

The Aion V will be the first product assembled at the Cikampek production facility, according to the plans of this Chinese brand.

“The first trial production unit of the Aion V was completed a few weeks ago. We will ramp up later to increase production volume,” said Andry Ciu, CEO of Aion Indonesia in Jakarta, on Friday (21/03).

He said that with this step, consumers will not have to wait long to get their EV (Electric Vehicle).

“There will be a few (Aion V deliveries) in April, while in May 2025 there will be many more,” Andry stated.

Furthermore, Andry Ciu stated that the production of the Aion V in Cikampek was actually scheduled to start in July 2025. However, due to high consumer interest, it was moved forward.

He admitted to having received thousands of orders for the Aion V electric car. Unfortunately, Andry did not mention the exact number.

“I think it's over two thousand (units), almost reaching three thousand. I can't keep up with the numbers anymore,” he said.

Andry revealed that 90 percent of consumers who have placed an order want the highest variant of the Aion V.

For your information, the Aion V is equipped with a 72.3 kWh capacity battery. When fully charged, the manufacturer claims the car can travel up to 600 km on a single charge.

The Aion product is also equipped with a 150 kW electric motor. The peak torque reaches 240 Nm.

The electric vehicle is also equipped with a fast charging feature. With this, users can charge from 20 percent to 80 percent in just 16 minutes.

To pamper owners, the Aion V is equipped with various modern features, such as eight-point massage seats.

Next, there is a box in the center console whose temperature can be adjusted from -15 degrees to 50 degrees. You can heat or cool food and drinks during your journey.

It is also equipped with a 14.6-inch entertainment screen. It can display several features such as media, navigation, and all vehicle settings.

As a reminder, the price of the Aion V Exclusive is Rp 449 million. While the Luxury type is priced at Rp 489 million OTR (On The Road) Jakarta.
