KatadataOTO – Aion Indomobil Distribution Indonesia has started local assembly of electric vehicles. This activity is carried out at the PT National Assemblers facility located in the Purwakarta area, West Java.

The first model to be assembled locally is the Aion V, the backbone of the company's sales in the country. With this, it is hoped that the delivery time of units to consumers can be faster.

“With the start of local assembly and distribution of the Aion V, we are not only ensuring speed of delivery, but also affirming our commitment to supporting the growth of the electric vehicle industry in Indonesia,” said Andry Ciu, CEO of AION Indonesia in his official statement (06/03).

Although produced locally, the quality of the car is guaranteed to be maintained. Moreover, experts from the head office have come to ensure that each vehicle unit meets the established standards.

This is certainly an added value because local workers can learn directly and absorb knowledge from them.

It should be noted that the Aion V in Indonesia comes in two variants: Exclusive and Luxury. The car has been developed in such a way to ensure that the needs of customers in the country can be met.

One of them is a battery capacity that reaches 72.3 kWh. Thanks to this, the car can travel 600 km on a single charge.

Despite having a fairly long range, the power produced is also quite large, namely 201 hp and 240 Nm of torque.

The electric four-wheeled vehicle is also equipped with a fast charging feature. With this, users can charge from 20 percent to 80 percent in just 16 minutes.

To make the journey more enjoyable, several interesting features are available, such as eight-point massage seats. Then there is a box in the center console whose temperature can be adjusted from -15 degrees to 50 degrees.

It is also equipped with a 14.6-inch entertainment screen. It can display several features such as media, navigation, and all vehicle settings.
