KatadataOTO – Surprising news comes from AIDI (Aion Indomobil Distribution Indonesia). This time, it's about the electric car Aion V.
The manufacturer from China has just adjusted the delivery schedule for the EV (Electric Vehicle) ordered by consumers.
“The delivery of the Aion V will be delayed from the original schedule,” they wrote in an official statement on Wednesday (14/05).
Furthermore, the brand from the Land of the Bamboo Curtain explained that this step was taken to improve long-term service.
The Aion V that consumers will receive will be locally assembled or CKD (Completely Knocked Down).
“All loyal Aion V customers are guaranteed to receive their units by the end of June 2025 at the latest,” they continued.
The manufacturer will also provide a supporting fee of IDR 100,000 starting from early July 2025 until the unit is received.
This compensation applies to consumers who have ordered the Aion V electric car since the end of February 2025.
On the other hand, Andry Ciu, CEO of Aion Indonesia, apologized for the delivery delay to consumers. He promised to do his best.
“We greatly appreciate the patience and trust of our consumers. We will also ensure that the delivery of this SUV (Sport Utility Vehicle) is carried out as quickly as possible,” said Andry.
Andry stated that this decision was made for Aion V buyers who placed orders from November 2024 to the end of February 2025 and have subsequently completed their payments.
As for orders from March 2025 onwards, they will be delivered in the following month. However, this is subject to terms and conditions.
“With continuously improved product quality and after-sales service, we are confident that the Aion V will be the best choice of electric vehicle for the Indonesian people,” Andy affirmed.
For your information, Andry previously stated that the production of the Aion V in Cikampek was originally scheduled to start in July 2025. However, due to high consumer interest, it was moved forward.
He claimed to have received thousands of orders for the Aion V electric car. Unfortunately, Andy did not mention the exact number.
“I think it's over two thousand (units), almost reaching three thousand. I can't keep up with the numbers anymore,” he said on a different occasion.
Andry revealed that 90 percent of consumers who have placed an order want the highest variant of the Aion V.
