KatadataOTOChangan will liven up the Indonesian electric car competition. They will immediately launch two new products.

These are the Changan Deepal S07 and the Lumin EV at the GJAW 2025 event at ICE BSD, Tangerang, later this month.

The presence of the manufacturer from China will certainly intensify the competition among manufacturers in the country.

Aion also warmly welcomes Changan's arrival in the domestic electric four-wheeled vehicle market.

"Competition can be seen as a positive aspect. Competition will always exist," said Andry Ciu, CEO of GAC Indonesia in North Jakarta some time ago.

For your information, Aion Indonesia and Changan are both under the Indomobil group upon entering Indonesia.

Andry stated that competition can come from anywhere, including internally from Indomobil.

He hopes the competition among electric car manufacturers can proceed healthily, so it can have a positive impact.

"I personally see competition as positive for mutual growth and improvement. So that consumers can get the best quality products at competitive prices," Andry continued.

If healthy competition can exist among manufacturers, it is considered capable of having a positive impact.

Especially for the four-wheeled vehicle industry, which is currently facing many tough challenges.

The Aion executive confirmed they do not want to get caught in the price war that is rampant in the country.

"We compete on features, because competing on price will ultimately harm the consumer," Andry emphasized.

Changan Electric Cars Can Be Purchased Immediately

Just a reminder, the Changan Lumin EV and Deepal S07 can be purchased immediately by domestic consumers.

"The stock is not large yet, but we can sell (the two new products) immediately,” said Setiawan Surya, CEO of Changan Indonesia in Chongqing, China.

Unfortunately, Setiawan was reluctant to provide further information about the two Changan electric cars, including the prices that will be offered.

GJAW 2025 itself will take place at ICE BSD, Tangerang, from November 21-30.

It should be noted that on the NJKB (Vehicle Base Price) page, the Deepal S07 (4X2) AT has a base price of Rp 580 million to Rp 611 million.

Meanwhile, the Changan Lumin L DC (4X2) AT is priced at Rp 194 million. Ready to challenge other small electric cars like the Air ev or Atto 1.

However, it should be remembered that the NJKB is not the benchmark for the actual vehicle price, as it does not include other costs such as taxes.
