KatadataOTO – Following the arrival of the electric car BYD Atto 1, which is sold for around Rp 195 million, the price of the Wuling Air ev was suddenly cut to under Rp 200 million for several variants.

Much speculation circulated that the Air ev price was offered at GIIAS 2025 to compete with the arrival of the BYD Atto 1.

Responding to this, Wuling has finally spoken out. According to the representative of the Chinese brand, Wuling never revised its prices during the GIIAS 2025 event.

“Perhaps you all got that from a dealer offering a special deal. So from our side, there was actually no price reduction,” said Brian Gomgom, Brand Communication Senior Manager of Wuling Motors, when met in Tangerang on Friday (01/08).

He emphasized that consumers can refer to the official Wuling website if they want to see the current applicable price of the Air ev.

“This also serves to clarify what was circulating on social media last week. The reality is, they each have their own strategies,” he continued.

So it is possible that the price of the Air ev offered at each Wuling dealer could vary, especially during GIIAS 2025.

When asked if the strategy was successful in boosting Wuling's order numbers at GIIAS 2025, he said it would have to be reviewed at the end of the exhibition.

“So far, what we've seen is that the conditions are good, there's an increase from last year. To be clear, we have to wait until GIIAS is over,” he affirmed.

For your information, Wuling is offering several electric vehicle lines at GIIAS 2025, namely the Airev, BinguoEV, Cloud EV, Mitra EV, and Darion EV.

The Mitra EV is Wuling's newest product that will fill the environmentally friendly commercial vehicle segment.

Since its launch in early June 2025, the Mitra EV is said to be in demand by fleet consumers for business needs.

Meanwhile, the Darion EV, touted as the electric-powered version of the Cortez, has also received a positive response. The model is available in two powertrain options, EV and plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV).

Wuling's product lineup can be seen at GIIAS 2025, which is still ongoing until August 3.
