Wuling Air EV Sales Surpass 3,000 Units in 2025, Best-Selling

KatadataOTO – The competition for electric cars in Indonesia continues to grow. Until the end of last year, the country's automotive market continued to see new arrivals.

However, in the compact EV (Electric Vehicle) segment, the competition is just as fierce.

Wuling Air ev as a pioneer, continues to record impressive sales. The two-door electric vehicle has successfully dominated the market.

The presence of new players has enlivened the compact EV segment in the country. Not to be left out are the Seres E1 and VinFast VF3.

While it was an earlier option, consumers now have more model choices to suit their needs. 

Compact-sized electric cars are very efficient for urban use. Making them practical for daily use.

So, how are the sales figures for the Wuling Air ev after being challenged by competitors in the same class in the country.

“The Wuling Air ev successfully recorded sales of more than 3 thousand units throughout 2025. This achievement makes it the market leader in the EV city car class,” said Brian Gomgom, Senior Brand Communication Manager of Wuling Motors, in a press release quoted on (01/23).

Based on data from Gaikindo (Association of Indonesian Automotive Industries), wholesales of the Air ev throughout 2025 reached 3,894 units. Meanwhile, competitors like the VinFast VF3 totaled 1,772 units, and the Seres E1 had 132 units. 

In total, since it was first marketed in Indonesia in 2022, 21,962 units of the Wuling Air ev have been shipped from the factory to dealers (wholesales) by the end of 2025.

The Wuling Air ev is a product of the factory in Cikarang, West Java. Furthermore, the vehicle's local content level, or TKDN (Tingkat Kandungan Dalam Negeri), has reached 50 percent.

Besides being a pioneer of the EV City Car unit in Indonesia, the Wuling Air ev is also the first to offer a lifetime warranty.
