KatadataOTO – Wuling Almaz Darion is touted as a complement to the Darion line in Indonesia, which is currently filled by the Cortez Darion EV and PHEV.

It should be noted that the Cortez Darion is based on the Xingguang 730, which was marketed first in its home country.

The Wuling Almaz Darion brand has been registered on the Intellectual Property Database (PDKI) page. Recently, its complete design was recorded at the Directorate General of Intellectual Property (DJKI).

This information is recorded in the Official Industrial Design Gazette No. 4/DI/2026 with application number A00202508361, registered by SAIC GM Wuling Automobile Co., Ltd.

Looking at the details, the design is the same as the Wuling Xingguang 560 or Starlight 560, which is in the same series as the Xingguang 730 that forms the basis of the Cortez Darion.

It is known that this prospective new Wuling car will also be available in pure electric and Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle options.

In its home country, the Wuling Almaz Darion has just been launched with prices starting from 62,800 yuan to 98,800 yuan, or around Rp 152.5 million to Rp 239.9 million when converted to the rupiah exchange rate.

Speaking of naming, Wuling has also registered the name Eksion at the PDKI. So there is a possibility that the Almaz Darion will be marketed as the Eksion for the Indonesian market.

Wuling has not yet provided any leaks about their new products in Indonesia for this year and is still focusing on the Cortez Darion.

For your information, the Wuling Almaz Darion will likely replace the role of the Almaz Hybrid, which is already sold to consumers.

The Wuling Almaz in Indonesia is sold in two variants. The gasoline engine option, the Almaz RS Pro, is sold for around Rp 405 million.

Meanwhile, the Wuling Almaz RS Pro Hybrid is offered for around Rp 445 million on the road in Jakarta.

The grille is dominated by a black color that enhances the elegant impression of the model. The unit also has a two-tone variant.

Later, the Wuling Almaz Darion in Indonesia will fill the same segment as the Chery E5 electric car.
