Leaked interior images of the Wuling Almaz Darion have started to emerge on the DJKI website, based on the Xingguang 560 SUV.
KatadataOTO – A car strongly suspected to be the Wuling Almaz Darion was recently registered on the website of the Directorate General of Intellectual Property or DJKI.
Previously, the Almaz Darion brand had already been registered in the Intellectual Property Database (PDKI) some time ago.
The design of Wuling's new model was registered with application number A00202507894 on December 8, 2025, while the applicant's name is SAIC GM Wuling Automobile.
The exterior appearance was not explicitly shown, but the design titled "Car Interior Assembly" provides a small glimpse of the Wuling Almaz Darion.
The Wuling Almaz Darion is believed to follow in the footsteps of the Cortez Darion, using the base of the Xingguang series which has been marketed in China.
The Cortez Darion is based on the Xingguang 730, while the Almaz Darion is strongly believed to use the Xingguang 560 or Starlight 560 model, which is a Sport Utility Vehicle (SUV).
In the design registered with the DJKI, the rear window resembles that of the Xingguang 560. The model also has a 7-seater configuration.
The Xingguang 560 was just launched in China at the Guangxi Nanning ASEAN International Auto Show, offered from 59,800 yuan to 98,800 yuan, or around IDR 141 million to IDR 233.1 million.
Just like the Cortez Darion, the Almaz Darion is likely to be offered to consumers in two options: Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV) and Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV), also known as a pure electric car.
The highest trim, or BEV version, of the Almaz Darion is equipped with a 60 kWh Shenlian battery, offering a range of 500 kilometers on a single charge.
Additionally, it includes fast charging technology to help owners save time when charging.
In 15 minutes, charging can restore the Almaz Darion's range by up to 200 kilometers.
The L x W x H dimensions of the Xingguang 560, which is the basis for the Almaz Darion, are 4,745 mm x 1,850 mm x 1,755 mm, with a wheelbase of 2,810 mm.
The Wuling Almaz Darion is predicted to launch for Indonesian consumers starting in 2026. However, it might be introduced earlier at an automotive exhibition like the Indonesia International Motor Show or IIMS 2026.
