KatadataOTO – Aletra Mobil Nusantara has successfully tempted consumers in Indonesia. This is evident from the number of electric cars sold.
This Electric Vehicle (EV) manufacturer claims to have successfully sold hundreds of four-wheeled vehicles in the country.
"As of October 2025, there have been 300 orders and 250 units have been distributed," said Reinhard Jacobus, General Manager Executive of Aletra in Kemang, South Jakarta on Wednesday (08/10).
Reinhard admitted to being pleased with what they have achieved, as it was not an easy thing to do.
Considering the automotive market has been hit hard since the beginning of 2025. This is due to sluggish economic conditions.
Furthermore, Reinhard confirmed that Aletra will continue its efforts to increase the production of electric cars.
They have been undergoing this process since the beginning of the second semester of 2025, in collaboration with Handal Indonesia Motor (HIM).
"Our (sales) target is actually 2,000 units per year. But there have been setbacks due to production constraints and capacity issues at Handal itself," said Reinhard.
He stated that the production line-up at the Handal factory in Purwakarta, West Java, has become crowded due to adjustments.
"We are optimistic that by the end of the year, we can achieve at least half," he asserted.
For your information, the Aletra L8 EV electric car is priced at around IDR 488 million. This price is On The Road (OTR) for Jakarta.
On the other hand, Aletra is determined to expand its dealer network in the country to 15 locations by the end of 2025.
In the near future, Aletra is also reported to be inaugurating a dealership in Dewi Sartika, Cawang, East Jakarta.
"So we are taking the border between south and east Jakarta," said Reinhard.
Not stopping there, Aletra will also soon inaugurate dealerships in Bandung and Pekanbaru in the near future.
With the support of various existing facilities, Reinhard hopes more people will switch from conventional internal combustion engine four-wheeled vehicles.
And then switch to relying on electric cars for daily activities, especially to the point of buying the Aletra L8 EV.
Thus, it can contribute to reducing pollution levels in Jakarta and reduce dependence on subsidized fuel oil (BBM).
