“Yesterday, it was already at the survey and verification stage, all our data is complete. So we are just waiting,” said Niken Maharani, General Manager of Aletra's Marketing Department, when met in Purwakarta, Wednesday (21/01).

After joining Gaikindo, Aletra as a member is required to report sales data just as other brands have done.

Niken then revealed that Aletra will officially become a Gaikindo member in the near future.

“Perhaps (Aletra's sales data) can be included in early February,” she asserted.

With the addition of Chinese brands, the total number of Gaikindo members has increased to 62.

Japanese brands still dominate the list of Gaikindo members. Ranging from Toyota, Daihatsu, Honda, Suzuki, Mitsubishi, Nissan to Isuzu.

However, several Chinese car brands are gradually becoming Gaikindo members as well. After Wuling, there are Aion, Neta, BAIC, and BYD.

Aletra's Long-Term Plans

After becoming a Gaikindo member, Aletra is strengthening its presence in the country's automotive market by presenting products that meet consumer needs.

Seeing the high demand in the Multi-Purpose Vehicle (MPV) segment, they are focusing on selling the electric car Aletra L8 EV based on the Geely Livan Maple.
