Ary Bakri and His Automotive Hobby, Lawyer for the Bribery Suspect

KatadataOTO – The name of lawyer Ariyanto or commonly known as Ary Bakri has become a hot topic of conversation recently. 

The figure, better known as a social media content creator, often showcases posts about his luxurious daily lifestyle.

For instance, a series of content themed "Cool Jakarta," published through TikTok and his personal Instagram page @arybakri.

Through these photos and videos, he often displays his collection of luxury vehicles, both cars and motorcycles, as well as a collection of luxury helmets. Ary is also known to own a recreational boat or Yacht.

One of the luxury cars that adorns his garage is the Ferrari 488. The vehicle is equipped with a 3,900 cc twin-turbo V8 engine, allowing it to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in just three seconds.

Not to be missed is the Porsche 911 Targa. The sports car carries a 3,591 cc six-cylinder engine and an electric motor. 

This configuration allows the Porsche 911 Targa to produce 433 hp and a massive torque of 610 Nm.

However, a number of his vehicles were later confiscated by the Attorney General's Office (Kejagung) as evidence in a bribery or gratification case involving Ary Bakri.

It is currently known that the lineup of seized vehicles includes the Porsche GT3 RS, Abarth 695, Range Rover, and the luxury MPV (Multi Purpose Vehicle) Lexus LM 350h.

In addition to cars, two boats belonging to Ary Bakri were also seized along with 21 motorcycles.

Chronology of Ary Bakri Being Named a Suspect

This lawyer is suspected of being one of the intermediaries for gratification for parties handling the corruption case of CPO (Crude Palm Oil) exports.

In the realm of social media, he is better known as a content creator rather than a lawyer.

Ary Bakri, who was acting as the lawyer for the CPO corporate suspect, allegedly handed over money to Wahyu Gunawan, a junior civil clerk at the North Jakarta District Court.

Wahyu then became an intermediary for Muhammad Arif Nuryanta, the Vice Chairman of the Central Jakarta District Court. 

The goal was to obtain an acquittal for the three large companies involved, namely PT Wilmar Group, PT Permata Hijau Group, and PT Musim Mas Group.

To date, there are four judges who have also been named suspects in the bribery case related to CPO export corruption.
