KatadataOTO – Gaikindo's ambitious target of reaching 900,000 car sales by the end of 2025 still seems difficult to achieve. Year-end sales programs and the exhibition GJAW 2025 are the last hope to help boost public purchasing power.

Unlike GIIAS, GJAW 2025 is an exhibition that prioritizes promotions and convenience for consumers in purchasing new vehicles.

“GJAW 2025 is more focused on short-term sales. Especially to boost sales figures at the end of the year,” said Yannes Martinus Pasaribu, an automotive observer and academic from the Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB) to KatadataOTO, on Wednesday (12/11).

The organizers of GJAW 2025 are collaborating with Bank Permata as the main sponsor this time. Various programs are offered during the exhibition period.

However, Yannes emphasized that every participating brand must also be able to prepare attractive programs and maximize the GJAW 2025 momentum through concrete strategies.

Such as light financing schemes, large discounts, bundling promos, buyback guarantees, to direct gifts for consumers.

“Without aggressive program support from Brand Holder Agents (APM) and financing institutions, GJAW 2025 will find it difficult to drive a significant sales surge. Especially in the current sluggish economic situation,” said Yannes.

In the end, according to Yannes, the success of GJAW 2025 depends on how each participating automotive brand strives to attract buyers, not just browsers.

Reflecting on exhibitions held this year like IMOS 2025 and GIIAS 2025, vehicle sales figures were significantly boosted.

Additionally, there are a number of new products ready to be launched at GJAW 2025. Such as the Chery J6T electric car, Jetour T2, to the Multi-Purpose Vehicle (MPV) Toyota Veloz Hybrid.

For your information, a number of programs from the sponsor are offered, including Permata Motor Vehicle Credit, presenting special interest rates from 1.50 percent and a long five-year tenor.

Interestingly, there is a special program for purchasing an electric car or Electric Vehicle (EV). Potential buyers can prepare a light down payment starting from 10 percent and a fast application process.

For every vehicle purchase at the GJAW 2025 exhibition, consumers have the chance to get a cashback of IDR 500,000 through the Permata Credit Card or Permata Debit Plus bundling promo,
