KatadataOTO – BAIC Indonesia is making several breakthroughs at the IIMS 2025 event. The Chinese manufacturer announced collaborations with various parties.

Focusing on consumer convenience, BAIC is also developing its after-sales services. This is done to provide a pleasant experience.

On the same occasion, they also introduced a refresh to one of their flagship models. It is the BAIC BJ40 Plus Champion Edition as the newest variant.

“Our main focus is to enhance our customer-centric strategy. By better understanding and meeting consumer needs,” said Dhani Yahya, Chief Operating Officer of PT JIO Distribusi Indonesia in a press release (13/02).

Taking advantage of the exhibition, BAIC presented its Emergency Roadside Assistance (ERA) service. This is a collaboration with Atlas Indonesia that provides 24-hour emergency assistance for 5 years.

Thus, BAIC car owners can get help when they encounter problems with their vehicles. They even guarantee that help will arrive in less than 60 minutes in major cities.

The scope of ERA services for customers includes:

  • Towing : Towing service up to a maximum of 50 km per incident.
  • Jump Start Battery : Battery jump-start assistance
  • Spare fuel delivery : Emergency fuel delivery
  • Flat Tire : Flat/punctured tire/spare tire replacement
  • Ambulance : Emergency ambulance service

The reason for choosing to collaborate with Atlas is the company's proven track record. Atlas has served consumers in 52 cities across 13 provinces.

The company's own reach covers the islands of Java, Sumatra, Sulawesi, Kalimantan, Bali, NTT, Maluku, and Papua.

Atlas even has a Digital Tracking Assistance application for service efficiency.

This will soon be followed by other locations, reaching 25 dealers by the end of 2025.

For the Indonesian market, BAIC offers two flagship SUVs, the BJ40 Plus and the X55 II. The first model is said to be sold for IDR 790 million and IDR 491 million for the X55 II.
