BMW 2 Gran Coupe and X3 Officially Launched, Offering Many Advantages

KatadataOTO – BMW 218 Gran Coupe M Sport and X3 xDrive M Sport have been officially launched in Indonesia. Both models are targeting the premium segment they have long dominated.

Both models are said to still be imported as CBU (Completely Built-Up) from Germany. However, the possibility of local production in the future is not ruled out.

“This launch is a testament to our commitment to developing the national automotive market," said Peter Sunny Medalla, President Director of BMW Group Indonesia, during the launch (18/06).

The BMW 218 Gran Coupe M Sport comes with various advantages from different aspects for customers. This car features a sharp design with the signature BMW kidney grille.

The manufacturer has maintained a sporty feel in the cabin. The manufacturer designed the seats to feel like they are hugging the user's back, thereby enhancing driving comfort.

Additionally, they have also included a curved display featuring the BMW Operating System 9 with Quick Select.

The performance of the BMW 218 Gran Coupe M Sport relies on a 1,500 cc engine. The engine is capable of producing 153 hp.

Meanwhile, the X3 xDrive M Sport is for those who want a bold presence on city streets. This car comes with a tough yet luxurious design.

The double kidney grille at the front is made larger to support a tough impression. The aerodynamic lines on the side of the body are sharp, giving a strong dynamic impression.

The dimensions of the X3 xDrive M Sport are 4,755 mm in length, 1,920 mm in width, and a wheelbase of 2,865 mm. Meanwhile, the ground clearance is 216 mm.

Inside the cabin, the manufacturer has also installed a curved display with BMW Operating System 9.

For its performance, the X3 xDrive M Sport uses a 2,000 cc engine. The engine is capable of producing 187 hp and 310 Nm of torque.

Various safety features have also been included to protect its users. Ranging from Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Keeping Assist to Parking Assistant.
