KatadataOTO – BMW launched three models at the Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) 2025, namely the 2 Series, X3, and xDrive45. These three models are the backbone of sales and therefore must be continuously developed.

GIIAS is also considered the right event to do so.

“GIIAS has always been an event that showcases the future of the automotive industry. We are presenting future innovations while celebrating our past heritage through the latest range of electric vehicles,” said Peter “Sunny” Medalla, President Director of BMW Group Indonesia.

BMW iX xDrive45 has a sporty design thanks to the inclusion of a finer-framed Kidney grille and a diagonal line structure. The headlights now use vertical elements and adaptive LED technology.

Entering the cabin, the manufacturer has made it comfortable for its users. Starting from the Harman Kardon speakers, iDrive with BMW Operating System 8.5, the Curved Display head unit, and BMW Live Cockpit Professional.

The BMW iX is equipped with a 94.8 kWh capacity battery, enough to travel a distance of 604 km on a single charge. This power is used to operate an electric motor capable of releasing 408 hp.

Next is the locally produced BMW X3 with a sportier design than before. This car is equipped with a kidney grille with a vertical air intake design and an arrow-shaped lattice structure to emphasize its aggressive impression.

Its dimensions have been increased to a length of 4,755 mm (+34 mm), a width of 1,920 mm (+29 mm), and a height of 1,660 mm (-25 mm). However, the wheelbase is maintained at 2,865 mm.

This car uses a 4-cylinder gasoline engine capable of releasing 190 hp and 310 Nm of torque. Acceleration from 0 to 100 km per hour can be achieved in 8.5 seconds.

Meanwhile, the BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe is now locally produced but appears more attractive. The German manufacturer has fitted it with a wide Kidney Grille with vertical and diagonal elements inside.

The new interior of the BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe is now completely leather-free/vegan. The Veganza trim comes as standard, complete with contrast stitching on the dashboard.

The BMW 2 Series engine can produce 156 hp and 230 Nm of torque, allowing the car to accelerate from 0 to 100 km per hour in 8.6 seconds. The BMW 218 Gran Coupé M Sport uses a 7-speed Steptronic transmission with a dual clutch and M adaptive suspension as standard.
