KatadataOTOBMW continues to embed various of the latest features in their products. One of them is in the second-generation iX3 electric car.

According to a Carscoops report on Wednesday (07/01), the European brand will provide a new version of the BMW Intelligent Personal Assistant.

The new system offers interesting features. Such as voice command or a voice assistant equipped with generative artificial intelligence (AI).

BMW is also said to have connected this latest system with the Amazon ecosystem.

Thanks to this access, BMW iX3 owners can access various features, such as music streaming and live news updates.

In addition, consumers can also access various Alexa-supported content directly from inside the car.

This feature creates a more personal in-cabin experience, combining infotainment with vehicle controls.

“Our partnership with Amazon is based on a shared vision of technological excellence,” said Stephan Durach, Senior Vice President of Digital Service Development at BMW Group.

Durach claims the voice command in the BMW iX3 electric car is made as natural as possible with artificial intelligence.

So the driver inside the vehicle feels like they are chatting or talking with a human.

For example, when the driver asks, ‘Hey BMW, what is the most famous painting in the world and where can I find it?’.

The system then responds with the correct answer, ‘The Mona Lisa at the Louvre Museum in Paris’.

It doesn't stop there; the system can directly connect the answer to other vehicle features like navigation.

“With the addition of Amazon's Alexa+ technology to the BMW Intelligent Personal Assistant, the vehicle becomes a smart companion for its users,” Durach emphasized.

Meanwhile, according to Indianautoblog, the system significantly improves ease of use by focusing on natural speech and intuitive interaction.

On the other hand, the latest BMW Intelligent Personal Assistant will be gradually introduced in all BMW cars.
