KatadataOTO – Two electric cars from Xpeng will soon hit the roads in Indonesia. This automatically adds more four-wheeled electric vehicle options for the public.
For consumers who want to own the Xpeng X9 and G6, pre-orders are now open.
“Actually, we are opening a pre-ordering period from May 30 to June 18,” said Hari Arifianto, VP of Marketing for Xpeng Indonesia in the PIK 2 area, Tangerang, Banten, on Tuesday (03/06).
People interested in owning the electric vehicle (EV) from China don't need to worry. Just prepare around Rp 20 million for the booking fee.
Hari revealed that for consumers who order the Xpeng G6 and X9 now, several bonuses will be prepared.
“We are providing different benefits compared to customers who buy regularly after the official launch,” Hari continued.
He also explained that there are three benefits that prospective buyers can take advantage of. For example, Xpeng will provide tire insurance for one year.
“We are doing this because the tires are expensive. We use high-performance Michelin Pilot tires, which cost Rp 8.5 million each,” Hari emphasized.
Then, consumers can also get free charging from Voltron for one year. However, terms and conditions apply.
Lastly, there will be various attractive souvenirs prepared by Xpeng for consumers in the country.
On the other hand, Hari revealed that the Xpeng X9 and G6 will be delivered to buyers' garages soon after their launch on the upcoming June 19 in Jakarta.
“We plan to start unit deliveries at the end of June or early July 2025,” he said.
This way, buyers can start using their Xpeng electric cars without a long wait.
It should be noted, Hari assured that the prices of the Xpeng X9 and G6 electric cars will be quite competitive in the market.
For the Xpeng X9, the offered price ranges from Rp 990 million to Rp 1.09 billion.
Meanwhile, the Xpeng G6 will be marketed at around Rp 600 million. However, this figure is still an estimate and is subject to change.
The Chinese manufacturer hopes that the Xpeng G6 and X9 will be well-received by consumers in the country.
