Buying the Daihatsu Rocky Hybrid at GIIAS 2025 will result in a long waiting list.

KatadataOTO – There are many new cars that will be launched at the Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) 2025. One of them is the Daihatsu Rocky Hybrid.

The four-wheeled vehicle can even be ordered by the public before the GIIAS 2025 exhibition takes place.

“It can already be ordered, with a minimum booking fee of IDR 2.5 million,” said a Daihatsu salesperson to KatadataOTO some time ago.

He explained that consumers who order the Daihatsu Rocky Hybrid now or at GIIAS 2025 will be prioritized to receive their units first.

Because according to him, the delivery of the Daihatsu hybrid car will take quite a long time, until the end of this year.

“Estimated delivery is in December 2025, because the units are truly Completely Built Up (CBU) from Japan,” he added.

For your information, the same salesperson also revealed that the price of the Daihatsu Rocky Hybrid will be more expensive than the models already available in Indonesia.

"According to leaks, the estimated price is around IDR 300 million," he continued.

It is worth noting that the cheapest variant of the old Daihatsu Rocky is priced at around IDR 212 million. Meanwhile, the most expensive type is sold for around IDR 289 million.

For comparison, the conventional non-premium color New Toyota Corolla Altis made in Japan is sold for around IDR 583.3 million. Then, the same model with a hybrid engine is priced at IDR 637.5 million.

Based on that, it is possible that a similar price difference will be applied to the Daihatsu Rocky Hybrid, reaching around IDR 54 million between the conventional and hybrid models.

As a reminder, the Daihatsu Rocky Hybrid was previously showcased at GIIAS 2024, or last year.

The four-wheeled vehicle with a hybrid powertrain is available in two variants, namely X HEV and Premium G HEV.

According to reports, the Daihatsu Rocky Hybrid will rely on a 1,200 cc three-cylinder engine with the code WA-VEX.

Then there is an electric motor with a power of 78 kW or 104.6 hp and 170 Nm of torque. It is paired with a 4.3 Ah Lithium-Ion battery.

Daihatsu claims that the Rocky Hybrid has quite efficient fuel consumption. One liter of gasoline can cover a distance of up to 28 kilometers.

Finally, the Daihatsu Rocky Hybrid, which will be officially sold at GIIAS 2025, will be available in several color variants. Such as white, black, and blue.
