BYD introduces an All-Terrain Circuit to demonstrate the robustness of the electric vehicle technology they developed.
KatadataOTO – Build Your Dreams (BYD) presents the BYD Zhengzhou All-Terrain Circuit. The facility was created to prove the performance of their lineup in facing various extreme terrains.
From steep inclines, rocky tracks, slippery surfaces, to off-road obstacles. Since its inauguration in August 2025, this circuit has been open for the general public to try directly.
Standing on a 198,700 m2 area, BYD strives to broaden public understanding of its technology. So that public trust in renewable energy can be optimally built.
“We designed the BYD All-Terrain Circuit in Zhengzhou as an experiential space that presents NEV technology directly. Through various tracks and experience zones, visitors can see, understand, and feel firsthand how the technology works in various driving scenarios,” stated Eagle Zhao, President Director of PT BYD Motor Indonesia.
The BYD Zhengzhou All-Terrain Circuit is designed so that NEV technology can be explored by everyone. The facility presents several experience zones that represent various driving conditions, from extreme challenges to daily mobility needs.
Inside, there are several zones to choose from, such as the Low-Friction Ring, Intelligent parking, Kick-Plate, Wading Pool, Dynamic Paddock, Race Track, Off-Road Park, Indoor Sand Dune, and a Megawatt Flash Charging simulation.
In the Low-Friction Ring Zone, the vehicle's performance is tested on a slippery surface, simultaneously demonstrating how the electronic control system works. This zone emphasizes the role of technology in providing a sense of safety and driving control in extreme conditions.
The Low-Friction Ring is a 44-meter diameter circular track composed of 30,000 smooth basalt blocks with a 3-millimeter layer of water. In this low-traction condition, the vehicle allows visitors to experience drifting.
Next, there is a simulation testing the e3 Platform on the Denza Z9GT, which uses a three-motor independent drive system. This technology allows each wheel to receive power and torque distribution precisely and independently.
At the same time, Intelligent Parking is also demonstrated to take over the role of parking. Through this feature, users simply stop in front of a narrow parking spot, get out of the car, and let the system work to park automatically.
Meanwhile, the Kick-Plate Zone presents a simulation of a sudden disturbance to the wheels to show the rapid response of the vehicle's stability system in unexpected situations. Then, in the Dynamic Paddock area, visitors can experience driving situations in daily use.
Next is the Race Track Zone, which features a high-speed track to explore acceleration, handling, and performance. The race track consists of a 1,758-meter long track with nine turns and a 550-meter straight.
