KatadataOTO – BYD Atto 1 is one of the products that entered Indonesia by utilizing incentives for imported electric cars. Thanks to subsidies, its price is competitive, starting from Rp 199 million for the lowest type.

However, BYD must start local assembly from 2026, in accordance with the number of Completely Built Up (CBU) units sold to consumers throughout last year.

Although there has been no announcement of a price adjustment, a salesperson revealed that the price of the BYD Atto 1 is likely to increase this year due to the discontinuation of tax incentives.

They were reluctant to explain the exact amount, but it is certain that the lowest type will jump above Rp 200 million.

This price increase reportedly applies to cars produced in 2026. Dealers still provide 2025 NIK stock for interested consumers.

Processed from Gaikindo data, since the BYD Atto 1 was imported to Indonesia from October-December 2025, BYD's wholesales figures (distribution from factory to dealer) jumped by 26,634 units.

Meanwhile, retail sales or distribution from dealers to consumers in the same period was 23,028 units.

Then for the first time, BYD's wholesales reached 10,593 units in October 2025. This indicates the high demand for the Atto 1 since it was introduced in Indonesia.

Roughly calculated, the remaining stock at dealers as of January 2026 is 3,606 units, which is a combination of the BYD Atto 1 and other models such as the Seal, Sealion 7, and Dolphin.

Considering BYD has not announced when local assembly will begin, future BYD Atto 1 units will have the status of fully imported.

When imported without discounts or tax incentives, there is a high chance its price will rise sharply above Rp 200 million.

To date, the price of the BYD Atto 1 electric car listed on the official website has not been adjusted.

It is stated that the price of the BYD Atto 1 Dynamic or Standard Range is Rp 199 million, effective since November 18, 2025.

Meanwhile, the Premium type above it is still sold for Rp 235 million, the same as at its launch in July 2025.
