KatadataOTO – Ahead of the Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) 2025, BYD has started showing teasers for the car that will be launched at the event. Photos and videos of the vehicle have been displayed on their official account.
The feed shows the interior of the car to be launched. The seats use a semi-bucket design and a cup holder is available on the center console to make it easier for the driver and front passenger to store drinks.
Not only that, the @BYD_Indonesia account also features a video to show some of its exterior. It focuses more on the lighting system, which appears quite sharp.
It was previously reported that BYD will launch their newest model, the Seagull, which has been renamed to Atto 1. The car is estimated to be sold for around Rp 250 million.
The car also has fairly compact dimensions: 3,780 mm in length, 1,715 mm in width, and 1,540 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,500 mm. Thanks to this, the vehicle is believed to be agile when navigating through traffic.
Nevertheless, the vehicle's range is quite impressive, especially since BYD offers two battery capacities: 30.08 kWh and 38.88 kWh. Thanks to this, the Atto 1 can travel between 305 km and 405 km on a full charge.
This power will then be paired with an electric motor to produce 55 kW (73.7 hp) of power and 135 Nm of peak torque. This amount is considered sufficient to meet the driving needs of the people in the country.
The lowest trim of the BYD Seagull is equipped with 15-inch steel wheels. Meanwhile, the higher variant uses larger 16-inch aluminum alloy wheel hubs.
