KatadataOTO – BYD brought the Dynasty-D concept car to the Shanghai Auto Show 2025. This car, which enters the SUV segment, shows the company's commitment to developing the premium segment.

This model is designed to be the top model of BYD's Dynasty series. Various developments have been made to meet high customer expectations.

From the front, the BYD Dynasty-D features a 2.4-meter integrated lightbar with a seamless design. The headlamps are also designed to give the vehicle a tough impression.

To make it more dynamic, BYD has incorporated aerodynamic lines that create a more dynamic look. The wheels are 23 inches with a unique design inspired by the dome of the Temple of Heaven to symbolize cultural pride and a magnificent impression.

Moving to the rear, BYD has installed 3D lights in the shape of a Chinese knot combined with a phoenix feather motif. The combination creates a dramatic visual effect that harmonizes with the dragon whisker design at the front.

A unique impression is seen from the interior as its design is inspired by Chinese imperial architecture. Even the dashboard design resembles the roofline of the Forbidden City and is balanced with a modern minimalist style.

The manufacturer has also installed eight interconnected screens to enhance the interactive visual theme and digital cockpit. Thanks to this, passengers can experience a blend of ancient culture and technology.

Interestingly, the interior also incorporates elements from the Silk Road. BYD also combines bamboo carving, traditional papermaking techniques, and gold leaf applied manually as a Chinese heritage craft.

Unfortunately, there is no explanation regarding the battery and its performance. However, BYD confirmed that the car will soon be sold for around RMB 400,000, equivalent to IDR 920.4 million.

As the top model of the Dynasty Series, BYD hopes this car can maintain the positive record of previous vehicles. Moreover, in just five years, the BYD Dynasty Series has become the fastest Chinese automotive brand to jump from 1 million to 2 million in annual sales.
