KatadataOTO – BYD is aggressively exporting its electrification line to various countries throughout 2025. Its popularity in the global market has caused the manufacturer's export figures to rise rapidly.

Reporting from Carnewschina, in November 2025 BYD's exports reached 128,067 units, an increase of 313.4 percent year-on-year.

Meanwhile, calculated cumulatively from January to November 2025, BYD's exports reached 878,498 units.

This achievement is an increase of 144 percent compared to BYD's total exports in the same period last year.

In November 2025, Chery still led as the brand with the most exports, at 135,190 units. However, BYD is slowly catching up and maintaining its position in second place.

The rapid increase in BYD's exports is due to their aggressive penetration into various countries. Sales of BYD's electrification line are said to be dominant in several countries such as Brazil, Turkey, Italy, Spain, Hungary, and Croatia.

Meanwhile, in Singapore, BYD has earned the title of the best-selling automotive brand.

As of December 2025, BYD has exported electric cars and hybrids to 119 different countries.

BYD has also successfully overtaken Tesla's sales in several potential automotive markets, both in Europe and Southeast Asia.

In Indonesia itself, BYD's dominance is maintained thanks to the regular introduction of new products.

Starting with the Dolphin, Atto 3, and Seal, BYD expanded its portfolio by entering the Multi-Purpose Vehicle (MPV) segment with the M6.

Then the Sport Utility Vehicle (SUV) Sealion 7 was introduced, followed by the BYD Atto 1 at the end of the year, specifically at the Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show or GIIAS 2025.

The BYD Atto 1 dominates electric car sales thanks to its competitive price, starting from Rp 199 million for its lowest trim.

It should be noted that all units sold by BYD in Indonesia are still Completely Built-Up, or fully imported.

The price is competitive because it takes advantage of incentives for imported electric cars. Starting in 2026, BYD will be required to conduct local assembly corresponding to the number of vehicles that have been imported and sold domestically.
