KatadataOTO – From January to April 2025, BYD sales in Indonesia successfully reached a significant number. Based on Gaikindo data, wholesales BYD in the first four months reached 9,214 units or 3.6 percent of the total national market.

Meanwhile, for retail sales, their achievement also cannot be underestimated. The Chinese manufacturer was recorded to have sold 8,894 units or 3.3 percent of car sales in Indonesia.

This achievement has made them the sixth-largest car manufacturer in Indonesia.

The high sales are inseparable from the role of vehicle development they have been carrying out. As a result, the manufacturer has received various awards.

“This is an important step for BYD in accelerating the era of environmentally friendly vehicles in the country, supported by a strong, complete, and relevant product portfolio for the Indonesian people,” said Luther Panjaitan, Head of Public & Government Relations of PT BYD Motor Indonesia in his official statement.

They are committed to providing the best transportation solutions in the country. BYD is also confident that collaboration between the industry, consumers, and various stakeholders is the key to the future.

The BYD M6 is considered to have proportional dimensions with a capacity for up to seven passengers. This car is equipped with a 71.8 kWh Blade Battery, sufficient for a journey of up to 530 km.

Customers are also spoiled by a  12.8-inch rotating infotainment screen. A panoramic sunroof and various safety features are also available.

Furthermore, the BYD Atto 3 is also considered to have successfully met various customer needs. This car offers an attractive design and a full range of features as its advantages.

Meanwhile, the BYD Seal is in the spotlight for offering an aerodynamic design and impressive performance. This car can reach a speed of 100 km/h in just 3.8 seconds and has a range of up to 650 km.

BYD also has several other models, such as the Sealion 7, which was recently launched at the IIMS 2025 event.
