BYD Sealion 7 Hybrid Ready to Launch, Priced at around Rp 400 Million

KatadataOTO – The BYD Sealion 7 Hybrid is set to launch soon after its introduction in May 2025. In China, the model is sold under the name Sealion 07 DM-i.

It should be noted that in Indonesia, BYD has only brought in the Electric Vehicle (EV) version of the Sealion 7, or the pure electric version.

They have not brought in any hybrid vehicle models at all. Most recently at GIIAS 2025, BYD instead launched the entry-level EV, Atto 1.

Although there is no official price yet, local Chinese media have revealed that the price range for the Sealion 7 Hybrid is from 189,900 yuan to 229,800 yuan.

If converted to the rupiah exchange rate, this figure is equivalent to IDR 429.6 million to IDR 519.9 million.

In terms of design, the BYD Sealion 7 Hybrid has a sporty look and will fill the Sport Utility Vehicle (SUV) segment, carrying the Marine Aesthetic concept, just like BYD's other Ocean Series lineup.

Viewed from the front, the shape of its headlights at a glance looks very identical to the BYD Seal EV, which is already sold domestically.

Its minimalist appearance is combined with a thin, horizontal LED bar connecting the left and right headlights.
