Changan Deepal E07 Registered in Indonesia, Small SUV That Doubles as a Pickup

KatadataOTO – Changan Deepal E07, also known as the Nevo E07, is one of the products whose brand has been registered in Indonesia.

Unlike Changan's current domestic products like the Deepal S07 and Lumin, the Deepal E07 is a Sport Utility Vehicle (SUV) that also has the characteristics of a double cabin pickup.

There is a fairly large bed at the rear, said to be able to accommodate a load of up to 300 kilograms.

Its dimensions are quite large with a length of 5,045 mm, a width of 1,996 mm, a height of 1,680 mm, and a wheelbase of 3,120 mm.

In comparison, the Deepal E07 is still smaller than other double cabin pickups like the Toyota Hilux and Isuzu D-Max.

The Deepal E07 attempts to combine the characteristics of a compact SUV and a double cabin. Thus, its appearance is different from typical pickups.

This car was launched first in the Thai market, so it is already configured for right-hand drive (RHD).

Two variants are available for consumers. The lowest type, Plus, is equipped with an electric motor that can produce 252 kW (338 hp) of power and 365 Nm of peak torque.

Meanwhile, the top variant is All-Wheel Drive (AWD). In total, its electric motor produces 440 kW (590 hp) of power and 645 Nm of torque.

The highest type gets the special feature of an Air Suspension with Continuous Damping Control.

Regarding the battery, both types are embedded with a power storage source made of Nickel Manganese Cobalt or NMC with a capacity of 89.98 kWh.

Thanks to this large battery, the Changan Deepal E07 can travel 590 km to 640 km depending on the vehicle variant.

The color options for this SUV-double cabin pickup crossover are quite limited, all with a monochrome feel.

Such as Obsidian Black, Quartz White, and Hematite Grey. The top type has Hematite Grey Matte and Jade Green paired with an orange interior.

In Thailand, the Changan Deepal E07 launched with prices starting from 1.59 million baht to 1.99 million baht. In rupiah currency, this figure is equivalent to Rp 857.1 million to over Rp 1 billion.

Changan Indonesia intends to introduce at least seven new models in the country by 2030. The Deepal E07 is one of the candidates.
