Changan to Prepare Five Dealerships This Year, Reaching Bali

Changan will utilize National Assemblers' facilities to produce the Changan Lumin EV and Deepal S07.

KatadataOTO – Changan has begun to enter the Indonesian electric car market. The brand from China has prepared its electrification lineup.
They will sell the Changan Deepal S07 and Lumin EV to consumers in the country. This move will be realized in the near future.
In fact, the two Changan electric cars are said to have Completely Knocked Down (CKD) status.
"Yes (locally assembled), it is now in the trial process," said Setiawan Surya, CEO of Changan Indonesia in Chongqing, China on Wednesday (22/10).
He explained that Changan is also currently processing various documents for their prospective Electric Vehicles (EVs).
Then, the Changan Lumin EV and Deepal S07 will be assembled directly at Indomobil's National Assemblers facility. The location is in Purwakarta, West Java.
"It's already CKD, we have been assembling locally from the beginning," he continued.
The Changan executive also explained that the production process for the Changan Deepal S07 and Lumin EV will begin in November 2025.
Therefore, consumers will not have to wait long if they want to purchase these two Changan electric cars.
"We have started the CKD process, right now we are taking samples for type approval and various tests," Setiawan affirmed.
For your information, the Changan Lumin EV and Deepal S07 are planned to be unveiled at GJAW 2025 next month.
In fact, the EVs can be purchased directly by visitors at ICE BSD, Tangerang. This adds to the options for electric four-wheeled vehicles in the country.
"Later, approaching GJAW 2025, the units must be ready. At a minimum, there will be test drive and display units," Setiawan concluded.
However, Setiawan was still reluctant to provide further information about the two Changan electric cars, including the price that will be offered.
As a reminder, the Changan Deepal S07 is equipped with a 79.9 kWh battery. It is paired with a drive motor producing 160 kW or the equivalent of 214.5 hp and 320 Nm of torque.
On a single charge, the Changan Deepal S07 can travel up to 475 km (WLTP). Meanwhile, the Changan Lumin EV is a challenger to the Wuling Air ev and VinFast VF3.
Unlike its sibling, the Changan Lumin EV carries an LFP battery with a capacity of 28.08 kWh.
It is then paired with an electric motor with a maximum power of 35 kW or 46 hp. The peak torque reaches 83 Nm.
The speed of this compact EV reaches 101 km per hour. On a single charge, it can travel up to 301 km (NEDC).
