KatadataOTO – Changan is starting to be aggressive in launching their business. The Chinese manufacturer is not just selling new cars in Indonesia.

But they are also preparing a dealer network in several locations. This is to serve consumers in the country.

"In Jakarta, we are starting to prepare the (dealer network) first," said Setiawan Surya, CEO of Changan Indonesia in Chongqing, China today, Thursday (23/10).

After the capital city, Changan will expand to other places. Specifically for major cities in Indonesia.

Such as in Bandung, West Java, then continuing to Central Java until eventually establishing a dealership on the island of Bali.

"Even with all the limitations, we have to get started first. Because if we don't start, it will be difficult," Setiawan continued.

Furthermore, Setiawan confirmed that the number of Changan dealerships operating in 2025 will be five locations.

However, he was not yet willing to disclose the locations of the Changan dealerships that will be operational by the end of the year.

Nevertheless, Setiawan revealed that they will also establish dealerships outside of Java and Bali.

Starting from Sumatra, Kalimantan to Sulawesi. However, there are several things they need to consider.

"The cities in Indonesia that have a market (for Changan), and what their sales percentage is," Setiawan concluded.
