Chery Opens Export Opportunity for Tiggo Cross CSH to Australia

KatadataOTO – Chery Tiggo Cross CSH is one of the entry-level models offered by PT Chery Sales Indonesia (CSI) in the country.

Already assembled domestically and claimed to have received a positive response, Chery has revealed its plans to export the model to potential markets.

One of them is Australia, which also has a right-hand drive configuration. There, the Chery Tiggo CSH is sold as the Tiggo 4 Hybrid.

Sales of the Chery Tiggo Cross CSH in Australia are claimed to be positive, and it has earned the title of the cheapest hybrid car there.

“Australia certainly has potential (as an export destination for the Tiggo Cross CSH). The Cross happens to sell very well there,” said Budi Darmawan, Country Vice President of PT CSI in Jakarta some time ago.

Furthermore, according to Budi, the model is the best-selling product in its class.

Therefore, the company is open to the opportunity of exporting the Tiggo Cross CSH, following an additional investment of IDR 5.2 trillion from Chery in Indonesia.

“We will arrange the detailed business scheme later. Which countries (will be the export destinations), what the scheme will be like,” Budi affirmed.

For your information, the Tiggo Cross CSH is the main contributor to Chery's sales, alongside the Tiggo 8 CSH and the J6 electric car.

As of October 2025, Chery claims to have delivered the first 1,000 units of the Tiggo Cross CSH to consumers.

The remaining units will be delivered gradually until the end of 2025.

The presence of the Tiggo Cross CSH is expected to be a sales driver, targeting more consumers in the country.

“We will continue to strive to be at least a top-two Chinese brand in Indonesia in terms of sales,” said Budi.

The Chery Tiggo Cross CSH is currently sold with prices starting from IDR 299.9 million on the road in Jakarta.

That competitive price tag is supported by various advantages such as a responsive Dedicated Hybrid Transmission (DHT) and a 1.8 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery.

Thanks to this configuration, the Chery Tiggo Cross CSH can travel more than 1,000 kilometers with a full 51-liter fuel tank and a full battery.
